The Hearts of Bwindi develops its story by intertwining a visually stunning showcase of biodiversity, intimate character portraits of dedicated wildlife rangers, and the empowering role of local communities in conservation. This film is a poetic celebration of the remarkable biodiversity of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, and the tireless dedication of the people who unite to protect it.
World Ranger Day, is a global day of recognition for these brave, dedicated, and genuinely remarkable conservation lion hearts. This film gives us just a glimpse of their passion, dedication, and allegiance to nature within the BINP.
Bwindi National Park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site known for its exceptional biodiversity, with over 160 tree species, 100 fern species, diverse bird and butterfly populations, and is a sanctuary for endangered species like the mountain gorilla.
The documentary offers audiences a unique and captivating experience by spotlighting a conservation success story that celebrates the triumphs of national and community-led efforts in preserving the remarkable biodiversity of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The Hearts of Bwindi was made possible by TGB Films in partnership with the Ugandan Wildlife Authority and The Gorilla Organization. TGB films is a subsidiary of That Gorilla Brand which supports the charity The Gorilla Organization through donations, fundraising and media to support the protection of biodiversity through community-led conservation in Uganda and the DRC.
