Planet Bonehead
Planet Bonehead is a unique TV series designed to teach kids about science, the environment, conservation, and climate change. Since 2012, it's been used in classrooms throughout the United States and Canada for kids in grades 2-6.
Each episode covers a different environmental issue. Bonehead, T-Bone, Wishbone, Marrow, and Pa Fossil are the Boneheads - secret agents from HOPE Headquarters - working tirelessly to avert one global crisis after another caused by the evil J.P. Rothbone and his sniveling cronies.
The animation provides a great jumping off point for the educational documentary segment. Children learn the facts and science surrounding the current issue, as well as why this issue is important to humans.
Next up is the NewsFlash! Segment, where our witty news anchor teaches kids about an organization tirelessly working to solve this environmental issue. Children can see firsthand that while the problems we face are important, there are already experts working on solutions.
Finally, each episode concludes with an original music video with the message “You Have the Power!”. Students are empowered by recalling facts from the episode and by learning ways they can make a real difference right now both at home and at school.
