“We’re not going to solve the climate crisis without solving the biodiversity crisis” - Ian Redmond. With #COP27 taking place in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt, and in honour of COP27’s #BiodiversityDay, we are delighted to share an informal conversation between Sangeeta L., Senior Advisor to the Cayman Islands Government Office in the UK (CIGO-UK) and renowned wildlife biologist and conservationist Ian Redmond, OBE filmed in London over the summer.
Following on from the special CIGO-UK hosted webinar during 2022 London Climate Action Week, moderated by Dr. Tasha Ebanks Garcia, Cert. Hon., the conversation focused on the importance of migration and the global ecosystem. The interview also explores the need for the discussions at COP27 to focus on #biodiversity, as much as they do on climate change.
