CONTAINS SOME IMAGERY UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN: SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES A NATION BETRAYED is an international award winning feature documentary that takes a deeply passionate look into the world of both wild and domestic horses; their connection to our history and the future of humanity. Viewers are engaged through a compassionate journey that explores the majesty of horses, the freedom they represent, the value of that freedom and what it means to life. The film also reveals the hidden world of industry corruption, and how the public has been misled by government agencies and corporate interests that run over the laws that are supposed to protect the horses, the people and the environment. The film spotlights how the U.S. Bureau of Land Management continues to wage war on America’s wild mustangs and burros. It explores the underbelly of the equine industry and the chronic absence of humane treatment for equines when discarded by their owners into the slaughter pipeline where they become food animals in a foreign market. The film takes a look at the economic and environmental impact associated with the past operation of horse slaughter plants in the US; and briefly explores the lethal health risks to humans as associated with the consumption of known toxic substances that are administered to US horses on a regular basis. Acclaimed by viewers around the world as a life changing experience and a provocative rally for justice, inspiring great hope for compassion and protection of all animals and the planet we share.
