Don, a bison ranger, embarks on a journey to the Białowieża Forest in Poland, where he uncovers how these gentle giants are transforming ecosystems. Armed with these insights, he returns to the UK with a new appreciation of what it means to live alongside wildlife, furthering his work to restore nature and reconnect the next generation through his work with Wildwood Trust.
This film began as a simple idea and grew into a passion project that brought together more than fifty incredible people. Donovan Wright see, through his eyes, the beauty and power of what’s unfolding. This film has truly has been a labour of love. Film maker Owen Bornhorst is a 23-year-old cinematographer and photographer from Cleveland, Ohio specializing in underwater imagery and storytelling. He believes well-informed, cinematic storytelling is one of the most powerful means for inspiring empathy and responsibility for the natural world, and wants to use his passions to do just that.
