Rob Butler is one of the first Scientists in Canada to uncover the earliest mysteries and data that would surround British Columbia's infamous Northwestern Crow. Decades later Rob's dedication would shape the way we perceive and understand the lives of Corvids. 'Society of Crows' follows Scientist, Ornithologist and Artist Dr. Rob Butler as he explores the complicated and beautiful lives of crows while looking back on a lifetime of corvid obsession, science and love.
As a Director of Photography on both commercial and documentary films, Mike McKinlay has worked within the genres of verite, drama, historical, environmental awareness and wildlife production. During his 20 years as a DP Mike has carved out a respectable niche as an award winning cameraman in the Canadian documentary scene - taking part in some of the top documentary stories spanning the west coast. Some of his most recent clients have included CBC, National Geographic, Netflix, National Film Board of Canada, Knowledge Network, and APTN.
