In the neighboring meadow, an opportunist takes advantage of the mistake of a careless human. An innocent victim pays the price. In nature, nothing is ever lost, everything is transformed — even in the most tragic stories.
This short story, filmed like an old western, confronts us with our indifference toward nature and other living beings. It is an invitation to stop claiming ownership over everything, to stop plundering and destroying, and instead to become active protectors of our environment by Dominique Mertens.
